P.M. Michèle Daviau

Dr. P.M. Michèle Daviau leads the Khirbat al-Mudayna excavation as part of the Wadi ath-Thamad Project in central Jordan. She has excavated in North America, Israel and Jordan since 1973, specializing in the reconstruction and classification of ancient pottery. She also concentrates on Iron Age pottery and the archaeology of Jordan. During the school year she is on the graduate faculty at the University of Toronto in the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations.

Daviau contributes regularly to journals and recently authored Excavations at Tell Jawa (Brill, 2003) and The World of the Arameans (Sheffield Academic Press, 2001).
