I went to Nehariya with a friend from the dig that lives there.  We got up really early to catch a train north where we went to Rosh HaNikra which is very near the Lebanon border.  We went through some of the caves that have been made from the pounding of the ocean on the clifs.  They were beautiful!

July 20-21

July 19

Regular day at the tell.  After lunch I washed the bones instead of the pottery.  It was a nice change because you don’t get as dirty.  We then had a field trip to Gezer to see the excavations going on there.   Now it is time for a lecture on radio carbon dating!

Today was a little interesting trying to get five females ready at 4:30 in the morning.  We made it though.  We also added a few more people to our digging group of Area C6, (which Aren has nick-named The “C” Peoples) because we lost Boaz and Roey.  Now we also have Yosey and Kobe, both Bar Illan students.
